Scout vacancy · remote
Find people. $400–3500 a month. Remote.
Find models. Get a stable base rate.
A scout is the first link in a model’s path: you find candidates on social media, explain the terms and help them submit a profile. The base rate is your floor, not your ceiling: bonuses are paid per result, so productive scouts reach several thousand dollars a month — recruitment is the core of the job, and it scales.
Apply nowIn short
- A model scout finds candidates on social media; AQ Scout verifies each profile and partners place it — you are paid per verified profile.
- Pay is a guaranteed $400–600 base plus ~$100 per verified profile; typical total income is $400–3,500 a month, with no ceiling.
- Work is remote, about 5–6 hours a day on your own schedule, with payouts twice a month.
- No experience and no fees needed — the guaranteed base means you never have to overpromise to earn.

Requirements
You will do well if
- You have 5–6 hours a day at times you choose (schedule 5/2).
- You write easily and communicate without pressure.
- You are comfortable being honest about the terms — we do not hire scouts who overpromise.
- Models can also work as scouts — it is a separate, additional income.
A scout’s week, realistically
Scouting is systematic outreach, not spam. A realistic working week at 5–6 hours a day, 5/2:
- Search (≈40% of time). Going through Instagram, TikTok and local communities; building a candidate list. A good scout looks for people who might actually want this — not everyone with a profile photo.
- First messages and replies (≈40%). Short, honest openers; answering the same first questions (is this webcam? — no; who sees the profile? — foreign platforms; is it paid? — yes, a percentage).
- Escorting candidates (≈20%). Helping fill the application, passing the candidate to the manager, staying in touch through verification.
Typical funnel: of 100 first messages, a few dozen reply, a handful reach the application, 2–5 become registered profiles. The base rate exists precisely because the funnel is long — your income does not collapse in a slow week.
The pay structure, explained
Base rate $400–600 per month with a guaranteed $400 minimum for full engagement (5–6 hours a day, 5/2). On top of that:
- ~$100 for each verified profile you bring; truly exceptional profiles are rated up to $200 — that tier is rare and partners decide it;
- $100 referral bonus for each scout you bring who works at least one month;
- payouts twice a month, on the 15th and 30th.
Why a base rate and not pure commission? Because commission-only scouting pushes people to overpromise to candidates. A scout on a stable base can afford to tell the truth — and honest scouts convert better long-term, which is cheaper for everyone including us.
The rules we do not bend
Scouting has a reputation problem because some scouts lie. Our rules are non-negotiable:
- Never promise fixed income — only the real percentage model and averages.
- Never present the work as something it is not: no "just photos for a magazine", no hiding that profiles go to dating platforms.
- Only 18+ candidates, and verification is mandatory — a scout who tries to push through an underage or fake candidate is removed immediately.
- No pressure. A "no" is a no; a candidate who was pushed converts badly and leaves quickly anyway.
These rules are not idealism — they are unit economics. Deceived candidates quit within weeks, and the scout loses the bonus tail. Honesty simply pays better here.

Questions
Frequently asked questions
The essentials
Do I need experience?
No. We explain the terms, give scripts for the first messages and stay in touch. What matters is honesty and consistency, not a sales background.
Is the base rate real?
Yes: $400 is the guaranteed minimum for full engagement (5–6 hours a day, 5/2). Bonuses are added on top of it.
Can I combine it with studies or another job?
Yes, the hours are flexible — you choose when to work. What matters is the total time and the result, not being online at fixed hours.
Day-to-day work
Where exactly do scouts find candidates?
Mostly Instagram and TikTok: open profiles, local communities, hashtag and geo searches. Good scouts build lists and work them systematically instead of messaging everyone in sight. We share working search patterns during onboarding.
Is it even allowed to write to strangers?
A polite first message with an honest offer is normal outreach; spam is mass identical messages and pushiness after a "no". Our rules require the first message to say directly what the cooperation is — that filters complaints out almost entirely.
What do I answer to hard questions from candidates?
Honestly. "Is this webcam?" — no, and here is the difference. "Will my photos leak?" — here is how verification and the written terms protect you. We give scouts an answer base for the 20 most common questions; making things up is prohibited.
Do I get the base rate if I bring zero models in a month?
The guaranteed minimum is tied to doing the work — real outreach hours and a filled pipeline, not to luck. If you worked full weeks and the funnel was just cold, the rate stands. If there was no activity, there is nothing to pay for.
Can I scout from any country?
Yes — the work is fully remote and the candidate geography is international. You need a phone or laptop, stable internet and a language you share with your audience (Russian, Ukrainian, English or Spanish cover most of it).
What growth does a scout have?
Two tracks: income growth through top-model bonuses and referrals, and a role track — experienced scouts become mentors for new ones or move into manager positions as the team grows.
Common doubts
How much do model scouts get paid?
In fashion scouting pay is usually commission-only per signed model. In the dating industry a base-plus-bonus model is common: at AQ Scout scouts earn $400–600 per month base (the $400 minimum is guaranteed for full engagement) plus ~$100 per verified profile (exceptional ones — up to $200) and $100 per referred scout, paid twice a month. There is no ceiling: scouts bringing 15+ profiles a month reach several thousand dollars. The guaranteed base exists so scouts never need to overpromise to earn. More on the role: what a model scout actually does.
What do model scouts actually look for?
In dating-industry scouting: a photogenic real person, 18+, willing to pass verification and understanding what she agrees to. There are no fashion-style requirements — no height minimums, no age-under-22 rule, since partner platforms accept profiles across age groups up to 60+. A scout filters for honesty fit, not for measurements.
What age do scouts look for?
Strictly 18 and older — verified by passport, no exceptions. Beyond that, there is no upper limit: platforms serve audiences interested in 18+, 35+, 45+ and 60+ profiles. If you ever meet a «scout» who approaches minors, that is not scouting — report it. Legitimate agencies remove scouts for even attempting it.
How do I become a model scout with no experience?
Start with an agency that provides a base rate and scripts — commission-only starts are brutal for beginners because the funnel takes weeks to build. You need a phone, 5–6 hours a day, and consistency. We give an answer base for the 20 most common candidate questions and pay the base rate from month one; the funnel skills come with practice.
Is remote scouting a real job or a side hustle?
It can be either. At 5–6 hours a day, 5/2, it is a full remote job with a guaranteed base. Students and people combining it with other work take fewer hours — bonuses scale with results either way. What it is not: passive income. Scouting is systematic daily outreach, and the pay reflects the work actually done.
What is the difference between a scout and a recruiter?
A recruiter fills defined vacancies with applicants who come to them; a scout goes out and finds people who were not looking. Scouting is outbound: search on Instagram and TikTok, a first honest message, guiding a candidate to a decision. The funnel skills transfer directly into recruiting, sales and community management later.
